The FTSE ADX General Index is the main benchmark for the Abu Dhabi equity market and is the successor framework for the legacy ADX General Index/ADI benchmark. It measures the performance of eligible, primarily listed companies on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange using free-float-adjusted market capitalization, making it a key gauge of UAE and Gulf equity-market performance. The index is important for tracking Abu Dhabi-listed large financial, telecom, industrial, energy, and holding-company stocks and underlies ADX-linked benchmarks and investment products.
