The DFM General Index measures the broad performance of listed equities on the Dubai Financial Market and is the main benchmark for Dubai stocks. It is constructed as a capitalization-weighted, free-float-adjusted price-return index with quarterly reviews and constituent weights calculated under the DFM index procedures with S&P Dow Jones Indices as calculation agent. The index is important as the headline barometer for Dubai’s equity market and serves as the underlying for DFMGI futures.
