The PSI measures the performance of leading, liquid Portuguese equities listed on Euronext Lisbon and is the main benchmark indicator for the Portuguese stock market. It is constructed as a free-float market-capitalization-weighted index, with liquidity and minimum free-float market-capitalization eligibility screens and a constituent weight cap. The index is important as the reference benchmark for Portuguese equity performance and as an underlying for structured products, funds, ETFs and index derivatives.
