At a Glance
The index measures the performance of the Peruvian local equity market through leading and eligible stocks listed on the Bolsa de Valores de Lima. It is constructed using MSCI eligibility, liquidity and free-float rules and weighted by free-float-adjusted market capitalization, making it the principal broad benchmark for Peru equities. It is important as the successor benchmark to the historic IGBVL/S&P-BVL Peru General series and is used to track the overall direction of Peru's stock market.
