The PDV General is Paraguay’s broad local equity-market benchmark for shares traded on the Bolsa de Valores de Asunción, historically known as BVPASA. It measures the average performance of listed Paraguayan equities, including price variation and dividend payments, with equal weighting across companies. Because Paraguay’s equity market is relatively small and dominated by fixed-income issuance, the index is mainly used as a summarized indicator of the domestic stock-market segment rather than as a major investable global benchmark.
