The AEX Index measures the performance of the largest and most actively traded shares listed on Euronext Amsterdam. It is constructed as a free-float market-capitalisation-weighted index, subject to liquidity and eligibility screens and a 15% constituent cap. The index is widely used as the main benchmark for the Dutch stock market and as an underlying for ETFs, funds, structured products, futures and options.
