The FTSE MIB Index is the primary benchmark for the Italian equity market and represents the large-cap component of the FTSE Italia All-Share Index. It captures approximately 80% of Italian domestic market capitalisation through 40 liquid, highly capitalised shares and is designed for benchmarking, index-tracking funds and derivatives. Constituents are free-float weighted, liquidity screened and capped to reduce over-concentration while broadly reflecting Italian market sector weights.
