The IDX Composite, commonly called IHSG or Jakarta Composite Index, measures the aggregate price performance of Indonesian equities listed on the Main Board and Development Board of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. It is Indonesia’s primary broad equity benchmark and is widely used by investors to track the direction, liquidity, and sentiment of the Indonesian stock market. Its capped free-float-adjusted construction reduces the influence of tightly held or very large stocks while still representing the listed Indonesian equity market broadly.
