At a Glance
The BUX Index measures the performance of leading Hungarian blue-chip equities listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange. It is a total-return index, so dividend payouts are reflected in index performance, and it is weighted by market capitalization adjusted for free float. As Hungary’s main equity benchmark and a tradable index with futures and options, it is the primary gauge of trends in the Hungarian stock market.
