The S&P IPSA, or Índice de Precios Selectivo de Acciones, is Chile's headline equity index and measures the performance of the largest and most liquid stocks traded on the Santiago Stock Exchange. It is constructed from eligible S&P/CLX IGPA constituents, selected by liquidity and size criteria, and weighted by capped float-adjusted market capitalization. It is important as the primary benchmark for Chilean equities and as the underlying index for local index-linked investment products.
