LTPZ is an ETF designed to provide long-duration inflation protection by tracking an index of U.S. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) with 15+ years remaining to maturity. Because it holds long-maturity TIPS, it tends to have high sensitivity to real interest rates (and meaningful price volatility) versus short/intermediate TIPS funds. It’s primarily used to hedge long-term inflation risk or express a view on long-end real yields.
