AGG is a broad, core U.S. investment-grade bond ETF designed to track the Bloomberg US Aggregate Bond Index (“the Agg”). It holds a diversified mix of U.S. Treasuries, agency mortgage-backed securities (MBS), and investment-grade corporates, giving investors a one-ticket way to access the core U.S. bond market. With an effective duration around the mid-5 year range, it’s primarily used for core fixed-income exposure, income, and equity diversification, but it will still be meaningfully sensitive to interest-rate moves.
